| 520 | 3 | _aBauxite mining in Malaysian give impact to pollution issues in Kuantan, Pahang. Potential impacts are expected to go beyond physical environment and physical illness if the situation is not controlled. Loss of economic potentials and the presence of unpleasant red dust causing mental distress, several sickness and community outrage. The main purpose of this study is to analyse the response of the community in Bukit Goh regarding the bauxite activities in their daily life. The area of this study focused at the community of Bukit Goh in Kuantan Pahang Darul Makmur. To achieve this study a 40 sets of questionnaire that contains 15 questions had been prepared and distributed at the area in Bukit Goh. In addition to analyse the questionnaire, method of statistic by using bar chart was used. The result will be determined by the percentage for each question. From the research it was found that the water quality obtained after the bauxite stop 60% of the respondent agree that there is no changes in water quality while them said clean and 10% very clean. The result for the water quality obtained before bauxite occurs shows 60% of the respondent responded that the water quality obtained is clean while only 35% of the respondent stated that the water quality that they get is normal. Meanwhile 4% of the respondent obtained a bad water quality. | |
