520	3		_aThe goals of this study are to identify the students demand profile on public transport and to determine whether the services are meets their needs and satisfaction. This study is also carried out to identify rate of views and acceptance of electronic payment for Rapid Kuantan services. . This study is conducted by using the questionnaire survey method. As it is focus on student, therefore the questionnaire was distributed randomly to 50 students in each institution at Gambang area which are Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Pahang, Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang and Centre for Foundation Studies IIUM. Survey is also conducted to know the real situation so that it can support data that we get from questionnaire and secondary data from Rapid Kuantan to use it to proposed improvement. The data then analyzed using Microsoft excel and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The result revealed that, total ridership data from Rapid Kuantan is sufficient to identify students demand in Gambang area. Other than that, student’s satisfactions on Rapid Kuantan services are vary in each institution. The rate of views and acceptance of electronic payment among students are still in poor condition. Finally, a few recommendations have been made based on the results of the study to improve public transportation services in Gambang area. The findings help to understand student demand in Gambang area and provide information and suggestion so that the responsible parties can enhance the quality of public bus service and can attract student to ride public bus.
