The purpose of the study is to reviews the factors that can lead to material wastage and effective ways to overcome it. Questionnaire survey has been conducted to the contractor as the respondent to gain information of the practice situation in construction project. Results of the survey indicate that contractor agreed that critical factors contribute to material wastage are improper storage, wastage cause by labors, and poor wastage management. For the managing the wastage, there are four main ways and there are quality and quantity inspections, preventing material lost by good storing, careful unloading to prevent damage, and record material uses. It is hoped that these findings will guide efforts to improve the performance of the construction industry; hence a better ways in managing the materials from wasted can be generate. -Author
